Saturday 6th September: The day has arrived when we move our containers from their old home in the corner of the rugby field across the road to the back of Navitron.
RAS had decided that our two containers were two containers too far, but Steve Knight and Trevor Ellis had stepped in, and a good temporary solution found. Turns out that the removal guy is none other than Mick White, who moved and stored a lot of Pedigree's equipment back in my time, and he remembered me although we never had direct contact, a pretty strait-laced guy.
Everything goes as smooth as a nut, and Crops even buys coffee from Costa for all of us. Richard Ferrand has organised it all and our share of the cost is £250, a to less than we had feared.
The afternoon foes pretty well as Tigers win their first match of the season 36-17 against Newcastle. My guest for the afternoon is Shane, and we chew the fat a bit over Lions, but without it getting too heavy; he admits again that his job will preclude him doing anything other than attending the occasional function.
